Nine retail tenants have signed on to open at The Bridges development near U.S. 31 and 116th Street in Carmel this summer.
The new tenants will include several familiar national chains—Starbucks, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Great Clips, Regions Bank and Pet Valu—along with a handful of new businesses to the area—Convivio, Los Arroyos, Posh Nails and Shred415.
Convivio will be a locally owned Italian restaurant, and Los Arroyos is a California- based Mexican restaurant that will open its first Indiana location.
Chicago-based Shred415 will also open its first fitness center in the state and will offer instructor-led interval training classes targeted toward all muscle groups.
The 65-acre mixed-use development is located off 116th Street between Illinois Street and Spring Mill Road. It is anchored by a 120,000-square-foot Market District grocery store. Other existing tenants include CVS Pharmacy, Jimmy John’s, Coalition Pizza, Morellis Cleaners and McDonald’s.
Indianapolis-based real estate firm Gershman Partners, who is developing The Bridges with Pittman Partners LLC, introduced its plans to add four retail structures to the development last spring.
The new tenant buildings are located south of the CVS, along Spring Mill Road, and north of Market District.
According to the tenant announcement from Gershman, a few retail spaces are still available.
The city approved the entire $100 million development in 2011 after a controversial rezoning for the project.
